This procedure can be done at home. You will be wearing over your teeth a custom made tray which will perfectly fit your teeth. A certain amount of bleaching gel is applied inside the tray and it is worn for quite a while each day.

This is the most popular procedure as it is cheap and simple to perform. The dentist will take an impression of your mouth and a mouth plastic tray will be made based on these impressions. You will have to wear this tray at home for about two hours. The effect of this treatment may become visible after a few days, but it usually can be seen after two weeks.

This technique is sometimes performed in combination with the laser bleaching (in office) but only for patients with severe problems of discoloration or deep teeth stains.

This procedure has the advantage of getting you teeth whiter in time, therefore reducing the shock you will cause the others by appearing with a blinding smile. The price you will pay for this is also low. But it also has disadvantages: you will still need to go to the dentist's office for up to four sessions.

It also varies depending on the severity of your discoloration and on the type of treatment you will follow. The price is also influenced by the number of office visits included in your treatment. But remember that the dental insurance does not usually cover the teeth whitening treatment.
